Pros
- Organic food and vegetables generally contain less residues of potentially dangerous chemicals and antibiotics.
- Some studies have confirmed that organics often contain higher level of nutrients.
- Trials confirm that the longer growing/maturing periods and lower water content generally result in better tasting plant and animal produce.
Cons
- Organics are more expensive. They are usually 50% to 70% more expensive than non-organics.
- Different countries have different organic standards. Some standards may be too low.
- Some organics lack of preservatives and can not keep for long period of time. So they must be consumed quickly.
