Beet
Beet is prized for the sweetness it brings to meals. Beets onstitute major sources of sugar. Beet greens are rich in Vitamin C, folate, Vitamin A , and lutein. Both Vitamin A and lutein are associated with vision health. Greens also contain high levels of phytochemical beta-carotene. There is considerable veriety of cooking beets. Red beets has a dark, sensual, earthy sweetness. Golden beets have brighter flovar. White beets are not very flavorful but they are commonly used as decorative. Chioggia beets have candy-like flavor when roasted.
